The Domain Name System (DNS) is “this invisible system that controls the entire internet,” explains Julia Evan, and it can be hard to learn. In this video, Julia Evans talks about learning hard things in general, using DNS as an example.
“It took me maybe 16 years from the first time that I bought a domain name and set up my DNS records to when I really felt like I understood how the system worked,” Evans says, noting that her approach to complex topics generally involves a series of tiny deep dives.
