With just a single click within the Azure Portal, customers can now effortlessly enable Prometheus recommended alerts. These alerts are an enhanced version of the Prometheus community alerts and cover alerts at the cluster, node, and pod level. Previously, the process required customers to download a template and deploy it via command-line interface (CLI). These alerts require Azure Monitor managed service for Prometheus to be enabled on your cluster and are the replacement offering for Container insights recommended alerts (custom metrics) (preview).

By enabling recommended alerts, customers will:

  • Monitor key signals to be promptly notified on potential critical issues within their clusters.
  • Streamline the triage and troubleshooting process, reducing the time and effort required to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure their clusters are running efficiently and reliably, with minimal downtime and performance issues.
