AFIBER is excited to announce the successful delivery and commissioning of redundant backbone connections from The Hague to Amsterdam. This brought Netrouting and Data Facilities Data Centers (DFDC) live and on-net on our network. With this expansion the customers of Netrouting and DFDC benefit from a low latency, increased reliability and bandwidth.

Datacenter Connectivity
Data Facilities Data Centers (DFDC), established in 2012, is a leading data center operator based in The Hague, the Netherlands. DFDC offers strategic on-net access to Tier 1 carriers, Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), and direct 400G optical transport connecting seven additional data centers. These state-of-the-art facilities are engineered with comprehensive security protocols, fully redundant power and cooling systems, and high-performance connectivity solutions.
Netrouting and AFIBER have joined forces in the development of Dark Fiber connections between DFDC in The Hague and the strategic Nikhef and Equinix data centers in Amsterdam. Both parties are strengthening their cooperation with a strategic cooperation agreement for joint expansion projects ensuring future proof colocation and connectivity for clients.
Backbone fiber infrastructure
AFIBER is proud to deliver the advanced backbone Dark Fiber infrastructure that underpins this connection, enabling seamless integration with Netrouting and Data Facilities Data Centers’ cutting-edge, 400G Nokia-powered optical network. As part of this project, Verizon played a vital role in the connectivity and infrastructure integration, that achieved a seamless network integration. The network infrastructure ensures that Netrouting’s customers experience exceptional performance, reliability, and security in their IT operations.
