What makes this case unique is the use of unlit wavelength connections. In this setup, NewVM’s equipment directly lights AFIBER’s connections using specific wavelengths. AFIBER places these wavelengths on its network and provides the necessary conditioning to ensure the connection operates flawlessly over longer distances.

This approach offers a range of benefits:

• Reliable throughput
• Low latency
• High level of security
• Very high uptime

These benefits are typically associated with Dark Fiber solutions. However, Dark Fiber becomes costly over longer distances due to the high expense of transmission equipment and the fiber itself.
