Medio juli heeft BIT de intentieverklaring “De gehele overheid bereikbaar via IPv6” ondertekend. Dit in het bijzijn van het IPv6 implementatieteam van VNG Realisatie. VNG Realisatie juicht de betrokkenheid van BIT toe: “BIT is al sinds 2001 IPv6-proof. BIT is daarnaast IPv6 al jarenlang actief aan het promoten bij zijn klanten, leveranciers, onderwijs, overheid en collega ISP’s. Dit maakt BIT een waardevol voorbeeld voor vele andere Internet Service Providers. Deze ondertekening onderstreept hun inzet en betrokkenheid.”
