Azure Data Explorer has added a new feature to its data mappings capabilities called “DropMappedField”. This feature allows you to map an object in a JSON document to a column and removes any nested fields already referenced by other column mappings. This means that you can easily extract the information you need from your JSON documents and organize it into columns for easy analysis. This capability is also part of Real-Time Analytics in Microsoft Fabric.
