The query performance insight feature provides detailed knowledge into the performance of queries executed against your Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server, helping you identify and optimize slow-running queries to improve the overall performance of your database. With this feature, you can visually inspect your database workloads in the Azure portal to identify long-running queries, inspect wait statistics associated with queries, and detect changes in query performance. Query performance insights is enabled by default under a related feature, query store, which collects and stores query execution statistics and wait event information. Query performance insights also expose high memory, IOPS, temporary file usage, and top queries by calls.
The query performance insight dashboard has a user-friendly interface allowing you to quickly explore and analyze your data without needing extensive technical knowledge.
