In early November 2023, the following updates and enhancements were made to Azure SQL:
- Announcing a significant update to the Azure SQL Database Elastic Jobs preview! This update adds many new features, while maintaining full backward compatibility for existing job agents.
- Securely schedule and execute elastic database jobs with support for Microsoft Entra ID (AAD) and Private Links.
- Set up Azure Alerts to be notified on job execution status.
- Scale your Job Agent to connect to more concurrent targets.
- Track and monitor your database jobs with enhanced Azure Portal support.
With these enhanced capabilities, Azure Elastic Jobs makes it easier to automate database maintenance and management.
