On 15 March 2027, the analytics dashboards that are built in to Azure API Management will be retired. Before that date, you’ll need to transition to using the new Azure Monitor–based dashboards that use Log Analytics workbooks.

Between now and the retirement date, both dashboards will be available in the Azure portal. However, we recommend you begin using the new dashboards sooner to take advantage of multiple improvements, including:

  • More efficient implementation, Azure Monitor-based dashboards do not utilize capacity from the API Management instance.
  • Based on Azure Monitor, take advantage of all the visualization, data collection, and analyze capabilities of Azure Monitor.

Required action

To avoid losing access to API Management dashboards, begin using the new Azure Monitor–based dashboards in Azure API Management before the classic built-in dashboards are retired on 15 March 2027.
