Facebook’s creator Mark Zuckerberg tells the BBC’s Simon Jack how his social network is reacting to the challenge posed by the coronavirus crisis.

Facebook and other Big Tech companies met with WHO back in February, and agreed to collaborate to address the coronavirus infodemic. This is absolutely essential for the success of the global response.
However, the world needs more than agreement to address misinformation on coronavirus. Current trends clearly indicate that misinformation will be an even *bigger* problem when the world faces the *next* pandemic. It is critically important that Big Tech companies take steps now to mitigate devastation in the future.

Big tech companies need to publicly commit to protect the world from dangerous health misinformation as part of their long-term mission
