Direct, manage and coordinate logistics and operations related to a multinational internet service provider. The Logistics Manager provides a support function in logistics and supply chain management to the Field Operations teams. The role covers a broad range of responsibilities including procurement, specific import and export details, distribution, warehousing and facilities management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain sufficient inventory and accuracy to ensure uninterrupted field activities.
- Ensure that activities are in compliance with laws and regulations of the host country regarding the import of equipment.
- Resolve, in collaboration with the Director of Logistics, any issues pertaining to delays in equipment delivery to Field locations and seek ways to resolve these appropriately.
- Safeguard execution of Logistics Department by establishing and monitoring procedures and protocols.
- Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the department to ensure that targets are met.
- Participate in project meetings and report on progress therein.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Required Competencies, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in standard business office software.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion.

Education / Experience:
- Significant experience in managing complex projects, preferably with a degree in logistics/operations management.
- Multilingual candidates strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel experience
- Prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations.
- Intermediate knowledge of technical internet specifications is preferred.

This position reports to the Director of Logistics and is located onsite in Halfweg, The Netherlands.
