Firewalld provides “a dynamically managed firewall with support for network zones that define the trust level for network connections or interfaces, says Bobby Borisov.

The tool is also the default firewall in many Linux distros, such as Fedora, Oracle Linux, openSUSE, Rocky Linux, and more, Borisov notes.
