Docker users with legacy Free Team accounts have been told to convert to a paid subscription by April 14, 2023 or risk losing access to their data, reports Serdar Yegulalp.

Free Team accounts are widely used by open source teams, Yegulalp notes, and the change “might break build automations for many open source projects.”

Accounts that don’t upgrade to a paid tier will have their data retained for 30 days after the deadline, “after which it will be subject to deletion,” according to the notification from Docker.
