Google passkeys are now generally available for use with personal Google accounts. This means that “users can now use passkeys for a passwordless sign-in experience on apps and websites with fingerprinting, facial recognition or a local pin without the need to enter a password or complete 2-step verification (2SV),” reports Barbara Krasnoff. 

Additionally, the passkey “only exists on your device, not in the cloud, making it even safer,” she says. This article covers various requirements and steps to set it up.
