The Linux Foundation, BastionZero, and Docker have jointly launched the OpenPubkey project. 

According to the announcement, OpenPubkey “enables users to securely and accurately bind cryptographic keys to users and workloads by turning an OpenID Connect Identity Provider (IdP) into a Certificate Authority (CA).” The new cryptographic protocol is aimed at helping Docker users enhance software supply chain security.
