The Fedora Project and Slimbook have joined forces to release the Fedora Slimbook, a sleek new ultrabook offering new features and performance enhancements, reports Jack Wallen.

“The Fedora Slimbook is optimized for Fedora’s specific hardware configurations, thereby providing users with a smoother out-of-the-box experience,” the announcement says. “This hardware compatibility leads to an improved user experience, especially for those unfamiliar with how to install a Linux distribution themselves.”

The base price of the Slimbook starts at €1799, but a fully configured version can run up to €3156, Wallen notes. Devices are available now.
