General Availability: Azure SQL updates for mid-September 2023

In mid-September 2023, the following updates and enhancements were made to Azure SQL:  

• Verify the automated backups taken in Azure SQL Database using sys.dm_database_backups. Learn more.
• Keep your Azure SQL Database Hyperscale backups for up to 35 days of point-in-time retention. Learn more.
• Keep a copy of your Azure SQL Database Hyperscale backups in long-term retention (LTR) for up to 10 years. Learn more.
